Christmas Dish: My Own Recipe 1


Carne De Cerdo Dulce y Picante

A season to seasoned your dish with love & joy...

👉👉👉 Yesterday, i was thinking of a special dish to
cook for my family this Christmas .. its been our tradition in the family
to prepare something on this very special occasion, can be 
a main dish, dessert or pastries.

So i come up with this recipe while strolling around the grocery store yesterday,
since i miss the charsiu of wan tan mee that i've tasted
in one of the malls in KL last year,
(in Sungei Wang Food Court i think)
if my memory search me right, so i made a recipe
that is somewhat the same taste with charsui
using the available ingredients in
the Philippines.

here's the recipe of my very own
Carne De Cerdo Dulce y Picante
a.k.a ( SWEET & SPICY PORK) 

for 6-8 pax

1. 6.6 pounds of Pork Belly
2. 1 bottle of 320g Papa (Sweet Sarap Banana Ketsup)
3. Tai Hing or Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce (4-5 tablespoon)
4. Jufran Sweet-Chili (4 tablespoon)
5. Sesame Oil (2 tablespoon)
6. 4 cloves of garlic (minced well)
7. star anise (few pieces)
8. 2 tsp crack pepper 
9. sugar (optional) depends on how sweet you
want it to be.
10. soy sauce (2 tablespoon)
11. Chili powder (optional if you want a little more kick of chili on your taste buds)

procedure:
1. mix all the dry & liquid ingredients (except the pork belly).
2. impale with skewer or fork the pork belly.
3. gently massage the pork with the mixed ingredients
4. marinate it over night or 2 days for
more tasty, mouthwatering result.



3 ways to cook 

1. wrap it up with foil and pan grill it in medium heat, 
turn it every 15 minutes , then wipe the remaining marinate sauce
every after turning of the pork . 
- when the pork is tender enough already , turn off the heat and let it rest
for 5 mins. before cutting it and serve.
